Hello everyone and welcome back to the latest installment in my Artist of the Week series, took a week off from doing this so I wouldn’t burn myself out with work.
But we are back with another installment and it felt only right to help shine a light on this dope artist, so without further ado let’s get to it, Kid Prince is an upcoming Christian artist hailing from Philadelphia, having gotten his start in music in 2010 as a battle rapper, from there he ventured into writing for other notable artists.
It wasn’t until 2022 that he started recording his own music, having released six singles in 2023, in 2024 Prince released his first album entitled THE PROMISE STANDS, recorded and released in collaboration with REMNANT SONICS a team specializing in production and mixing, Prince went on to release three singles, two of which were also collaborations with REMNANT SONICS.
Kicking 2025 off with the release of three singles and much more in store for the future, Kid Prince is an artist you don’t want to sleep on, with a unique flow, Christ centered lyrics and catchy sound, Prince proves that he’s here to stay and is paving his own way in the space.
I took some time to ask Kid Prince about his plans for this year/the future and here’s what he had to say:
“This year I signed with Familia Forever (Owned by Shepherd). So there’s a lot of exciting things on the way. New single dropping May 30th with JWoodz, I’ll be performing at Flavor Fest (Something I always prayed for a chance to do), A collab project with Arsonal fka Austin Knoll (Apollo Records signee), and a couple other dope things in the works.”
Kid Prince perfectly embodies why I started this series in the first place, to help shine a light on dope underrated and upcoming Christian artists that not only care about their craft but also value their relationship with God and intertwine that in their music.
Not only does Kid Prince bring his own unique sound to the scene, he also brings plenty of experience with him and applies that to his music, with a combined total of over 110k streams, Kid Prince has a very bright and promising future ahead of him.
