BenRodz’s Artist of the Week: ZNDR!

Hello everyone and welcome back to the latest installment in my Artist of the Week series. This week’s featured artist is someone I got put onto recently by my homie bars and beats entertainment, going by the name of ZNDR!, Cayden is a 16 y/o artist hailing from Idaho.

Having gotten his start in 2023 releasing only four singles, 2024 saw a drastic increase in singles released by him, summing up to a total of thirteen singles, kicking 2025 off with the release of seven singles so far and with much more in store for the future.

ZNDR! is proving that not only is he dedicated to his craft but he also has plenty to offer, serving also as a producer, and drawing inspiration from artists such as NF, Graham, Nic D, Twenty One Pilots, Andy Mineo and Forrest Frank, ZNDR takes the inspiration and forms it into his own unique sound.

ZNDR! is an artist you don’t want to sleep on, I took some time to ask him a couple of the following questions, what inspired you to start making music? and what are some of your plans for this year/the future?

This was his response:

“1. I have been drawn to music my whole life. I started taking piano lessons at about 7 years old. I learned ukulele when I was 12 and started writing some worship songs. Eventually, I picked up the guitar and started leading worship for youth groups and summer camps. Around this time, I decided to try recording some of my original music. Fast forward to 2023, I met a producer on a worship team at camp (Jalapeño Beats) who had worked with people like KB and Andy Mineo, which blew my mind, I had been listening to CHH since a little kid and this dude was able to work with them from his bedroom! That same camp the Lord put it on my heart to pursue a career and ministry in music, and I haven’t looked back since

2. This year my goal is to release a single every 2-3 weeks, with consistent content. I really want to lean into the fact that I am just a kid, growing up, and trying to serve God. So some songs will be worship songs, some songs will be sad introspective songs, some will be love songs, etc. My music is really just a peek inside the mind of a kid growing up in the world and trying to serve Jesus in all he does. Additionally, I plan to keep producing songs for Christian artists and making dope music with them that glorifies God. Finally, this year I plan to start performing and continue leading worship as much as possible!”

And that concludes this week’s installment, if you’re rocking with ZNDR! make sure to drop him a follow here, check out his music here and make sure to check out this playlist that I update with some of my favorite releases from the artists featured.
