Hello everyone, welcome to the newest edition of my Artist of the Week series.
This week’s featured artist is someone who’s been around in the scene for around 6 years, JWOODZ is a dope underrated Christian Hip Hop artist who got his start in 2019 with the release of two singles.
Hailing from the Dallas/Fort Worth Texas area, JWOODZ is all about spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout his music and what he does in life, having had the opportunity to open up for artists such as nobigdyl., Aaron Cole, Hulvey, Miles Minnick and many others.
Jordan showcases not only how versatile he is but also how dedicated to his craft he is, the first three years that he released music were slow with only about three to four singles a year, it wasn’t until 2022 that WOODZ started to hit a consistent level of releases, having released a total of seven singles that year and his debut EP entitled BARELY STARTED.
Kicking off 2023 with the release of six singles, he went on to release four singles in 2024, kicking off this year with the release of his second EP entitled Only By Chance, having also done quite a bit of features over the years where his solo music slowed down his features picked up.
With a unique flow, Christ centered lyrics and catchy sound JWOODZ is without a doubt an artist you don’t want to miss out on, with six years of experience under his belt, Jordan continues to deliver nothing but the best with his music without ever compromising his faith or the reason why he started music.
With much more in store for not only this year but the future, JWOODZ is an artist you want to keep an eye on, having accumulated 11.5k monthly listeners on Spotify and over 2.4 million streams just on Spotify alone, Jordan has proved that not only is he here to stay but that he’s also built a dedicated fanbase.
JWOODZ is also the founder of Fort Worth Texas based music festival entitled Gifted Summer Fest having started in 2022, it’s taken place annually since then, with this year’s fest set to take place on August 8th and 9th, so if you’re in the area make sure you go check it out.
