Hello everyone and welcome back to my Artist of the Week series, this week is a special one as we got the one and only Garko.
Garko has been making waves in the scene despite only debuting last year, hailing from Puerto Rico and residing in Washington Garko is quite the artist, drawing comparisons in sound to Yeat.
Garko takes the rage and cloud rap sound and makes it his own, by putting his own twist on this already popular sound, Garko is set to pave his own way in CHH, he’s already gathered recognition from some bigger artists such as Vennisay and Caleb Gordon.
One very important thing to know about Garko, he’s very vocal about God and how God saved him, always pointing people back to God, Garko is just what CHH has been needing, an unashamed artist that brings a unique approach to music, with his catchy beats, crazy flows, Godly lyrics and unashamed nature about God, Garko is an artist you don’t want to miss out on.
Having released two albums and eight songs in the span of seven months, 2025 is already setting out to be his year, kicking off the new year with the release of “2025”, “EENIE” and the recently released “Cristina”, Garko is showing no signs of slowing down while also showcasing his versatility as an artist.
With much more in store for this year and the future, as well as having amassed over 10k monthly listeners and over 250k streams on his songs, Garko has a very promising future as an artist, let’s be clear the numbers aren’t the focus or the reason why any of us do anything, but it does testify to the fact that what God has planned no man can stop.
Garko embraces the very reason why I started this series in the first place, to shine a light not only on upcoming Christian artists but also artists who are bold about their faith and make quality music, my goal through this series is that you would find that not only is CHH not corny but that there’s plenty of artists out there who are making high quality art all while embracing and holding steady to their faith in God.
