TUVÍ – Sonrise: an album review:
Hello everyone and welcome back to another album review edition of Artist of the Week, with so many great projects that have dropped and are set to release this year, I knew I had to select a few to personally write a review on.
When I found out my brother (in Christ and really good friend, not actual brother in real life lol) TUVÍ was gearing up to release his debut project SONRISE, I knew I had to write a review for it, so without further ado I present to you, SONRISE an album by TUVÍ, a review.
SONRISE has been a lifetime in the making kind of project for TUVÍ, having debuted in 2021, TUVÍ knew he wanted to make an album telling his life.
A whole lot of personal experiences and circumstances helped mold and shape this project into what it is, a calling from God on TUVÍ’s life, this project is the result of stepping into that calling and realizing that God has called him and has chosen him to tell his story and lead people to God through his story.
With a total of 8 tracks, TUVÍ takes us on a journey through his life and the calling God has placed on his life, having it released almost a month early on the platform EVEN, which allows fans to purchase artists music before they hit streaming platforms and is a chance to directly support the artist by buying their work.

Originally envisioned as a prequel to TUVÍ’s debut album, SONRISE was born from a space of reflection and recalibration. With this marking TUVÍ’S debut project, the stakes are high but TUVÍ delivers all expectations and more with this project, picking 8 songs that not only fit sonically but also story wise fit perfectly, with each track flowing perfectly into each other.
So what happens when an artist is finally releasing his debut album after 4 years of dropping singles? The result is a cohesive body of work, not one track was wasted, sonically and theme wise, this is TUVÍ at his best, stepping fully into the calling God has on his life.
With only two features on the project, TUVÍ enlisted his friends Kaden Jordan and Garko, both of whom bring something different both sonically and lyrically to the project known as SONRISE.
I know that through this album TUVÍ will reach the people that need to hear a message of not giving up, surrendering everything they have to God and fully stepping into the calling that God has placed on their lives, without a doubt my favorite work he’s ever done, now is the time to tap in with TUVÍ before he blows up.
