Yoo what’s good everyone, I’m superexcited to announce the return of my Artist of the Week series with a slight twist, I’m changing it from a weekly basis to a bi-weekly basis.
This allows me to not be in a rush when I’m picking an artist and having to rush to put together an article as well as allowing me to not feel burnt out when doing this, as I’ve been super busy with work and family stuff.
Alright let’s get to it, this week I got 404 chew, Chew is an artist who’s been making waves recently with a really dope and unique sound, he’s coming up quickly in the CHH scene, making a name for himself.
404 chew is a 20 year old Christian Hip Hop artist hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, having made his debut in 2022 with the release of his first single “Superstar” he’s been steadily making a name for himself, having released 14 singles and two projects; CHEWBACCA VOL. 1 followed up by a remastered deluxe edition.
Being one of few artists who are doing Christian Drill, 404 has already established himself as one of the best in the scene, having amassed over 180k streams and sitting at 12.6k monthly listeners, chew is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with.
While most artists who do drill talk about murder, drugs, etc, chew flips that around by instead choosing to talk about God and point people back to the One who saved him.
404 chew is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with in the space, having garnered attention from artists such as 1K Phew, Aha Gazelle, Parris Chariz, Aaron Cole and Hulvey.
His latest single “Get Back” is a collab release with music brand Bloody Candy and prominent CHH artist 1K Phew, 404 never shies away from talking about God in his songs, with much more up his sleeve for 2024 and already quite a bit accomplished at such a young age, chew is an artist you don’t want to miss out on.
