I’m definitely a people watcher. Human beings are strange and absolutely amazing all at the same time. You’ll see someone acting a straight fool and think they’re crazy. Then turn around and see someone do something that absolutely astonishes you. You could see someone do something offensive and do it with the utmost hatred towards someone they know, but then see another person perform a great act of kindness and compassion to a complete stranger. It’s amazing!
The spectrum of us as people is vast, but not just in the extremes. It’s also even in the little nuances. Most days I take the metro to work so on the daily I get to see a large number of people all shapes, sizes, colors, races and religions. Today it hit me as I was traveling to work the awesomeness of God in seeing all of these different people. One thing we have in common is that we’re all made in the image and likeness of God.
Despite all of our differences there is a commonality that links us all together and it’s Jesus Christ. Regardless of our current situation, our background, our job or social status we are all in need of the same savior. We need the same redemption and to be cleansed by the same blood of Christ.
Many times throughout history man has used our differences and tried to put obstacles between men and God. Despite all of that God has already made a way for us to get to Him that can’t be conquered by man’s efforts. Once we accept and see Christ as our source we begin on the path of true abundant and eternal living. Christ is the link that binds us all together.
That leads us to our Throwback Theology Song of the Week. This song comes from the Cross Movement camp from the duo Everyday Process. The featured song is from their 2007 album, “Everyday Process: The Process of Illumination and Elimination.” The featured track is called “All I Need” and features vocals from La’tia and Keran. Tune into Trackstarz to hear DJ Jeremaya spin this for the Throwback Theology Song of the Day. Until next time…
