“When he was alone, those who were around him along with the twelve asked him about the parables. And he said to them, “To you has been given the secret of the kingdom of God, but for those outside, everything comes in parables; in order that ‘they may indeed look, but not perceive, and may indeed listen, but not understand; so that they may not turn again and be forgiven.’ ” And he said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? Then how will you understand all the parables?”
In this day and time people are always talking about being free. Free from restriction just to be who and whatever you want to be. We hear phrases like “I’m doing me.” Not considering the fact that this world is built on systems.
Trains of thought, ways of doing things or rules. What we’re trying to say is we want to be free from rules, but it’s kind of impossible because everything has its principles, guidelines or rules that it works by.
God in His infinite wisdom did this. He set up a way things should work. Not to keep anything from us, but for our benefit. It wasn’t to hold us back, but to get us to function at our optimal capacity. More rules or laws came into play as man became more and more disobedient.
The deception of the devil caused man to see God’s protection as a hinderance rather than a help. Instead of seeing protection man saw it as something being taken away. Fast forward to modern day man says things like “I don’t want a God who would create a place of suffering for me.” The thing is He didn’t.
God lives in His kingdom of Heaven and created us and earth to live down here like we’re in Heaven. We were to run this place down here like He runs His kingdom up there. Then man sinned and messed up the plan. God came back to earth as Jesus Christ to fix it.
We were born dead in sin and shaped in iniquity. Jesus came so we could be reborn. Another way it’s worded is born from above. While we are here we are to learn of Christ and the ways of the Kingdom and put them in operation here. It’s methodical. It’s not about a denomination. It’s about putting into practice the ways of Christ. Bury them in the ground of our hearts to bear its fruit in our lives. 🌱
