“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Jeremiah 29:11 NLT
A lot of folks are bumpin’ one of the latest track from Drake called “God’s Plan”. A dope track. The song talks about people wishing he would fail, but God won’t let him. He talks about not letting people into his inner circle, because they have ulterior motives. In the video he goes around giving away money to people in need. These are good acts of kindness. Regardless, of whatever you think of his music or his lifestyle I hope that he is figuring out God’s plan for his life.
I bring that up to point out that we figure out God’s plan for our own lives. Now philanthropy is great. Keeping your circle tight is cool. No matter what are you doing it because this is what God has in mind for you right now? Jesus had a tight circle, but He also had Judas who betrayed Him in His circle. It was a part of God’s plan too. God’s plan does not totally consist of good, but the end of it is good.
God has a plan for you, but there are going to be some things that you have to go through that aren’t good, but it all works together for your good. It’s apart of the plan. The road to your purpose is always under construction, because it takes work to get to the end. There will be some people you have to deal with that aren’t on your side, but they have influence on the plan.
God in His infinite wisdom sees the end at the beginning. He’s the ultimate strategist. His game plans are flawless. That’s why He tells us not to lean to our own understanding and to trust in Him. God’s plan isn’t just for you individually. It is linked to others, because we are apart of the body of Christ. It links to the ultimate plan for all of us that worked in Christ.
In the very beginning God had a plan. Satan thought he could mess up that plan by getting Adam and Eve to sin. This couldn’t even destroy God’s plan. God with His great love for us had Christ to die for us in eternity past to have is plan already in place. Christ gave us the victory before we even knew that we needed it. His perfect plan of salvation was already in place. Now as we walk this walk we know in the end it will be alright and we can be thankful that God’s plan is already working on our behalf.
That leads us to our Throwback Song of the Week. We take a trip to the west coast to the L.A. Symphony. This is from their 2003 project entitled “The End Is Now”. In case you aren’t familiar this group consists of FLYNN (also known as Flynn Adams), UNO Mas, CookBook, Joey The Jerk (formerly Joey’s Dream), Sareem Poems (fka Sharlock Poems), Pigeon John and bTwice (collectively known as Brainwash Projects), and J-Beits a.k.a. Great Jason. Past members include Trendi MC (who compose Halieyoos Fishermen with Sharlok Poems and J-Beits), Coy (Paul “Coy” Allen), Xpress, Gaja and Beond of Acid Reign. Literally, a west coast Wu-Tang Clan. The featured song is “Gonna Be Alright”. Check out the song and enjoy the rest of this Thanksgiving weekend. Until next time…
