In my last article, I talked about how God is trying to get us back to the original image that He made us in. Ultimately, that image is Christ. He is the mighty creator of all things. The beginning and the end. He is the Alpha and the Omega. The author and finisher of our faith. He started it and He will finish it. We are waiting for that great day when Christ cracks the sky and raises His children up in the air with Him.
While we are here, God is constantly shaping and molding us into the image of His Son Jesus Christ. When God created Adam, He breathed into him the breath of life and Adam became a living soul. God breathed into him purpose. He didn’t just put us here to take in air and live without meaning. The best way I could put it is that God doesn’t just want us to exist, but to have life and life more abundantly.
Even after man fell in sin, God didn’t just leave us here wandering around to try and figure it out on our own. God has constantly and consistently put things in place to lead us back into a right relationship with Him and to His perfect will. That’s what God has always wanted. Us together with Him.
Now He leaves His holy word penned by me who were able to make that connection with God’s Spirit to show us the way. God equipping us with the instruction manual to fulfill His mission. We are in some crazy times and the world is getting worse and worse. So God, by His Spirit, had the apostle Paul pen, “We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.” 2 Corinthians 10:4 NLT http://bible.com/116/2co.10.4.nlt
There is a battle going on and God has equipped us for it through our relationship with Christ, His Holy Spirit living on the inside of us and instructing us through His word. We don’t need knives, guns or nuclear weapons. God is pulling His children together as the army of God to destroy the works of the devil.
That leads us to our Throwback Song of the Week. We’re heading over to the UK for this one. This is rapper Dwayne Tryumf and this song is from his 2010 project entitled “777 (Mark of the Peace).” The track is entitled “I Don’t Pack A Matic.” This is a song that encourages us that God is our source and has given us all that we need to do what He has called us to do. Tune into the Trackstarz show this week to hear DJ Jeremaya spin this track for the Throwback Song of the Day. Check it out and let us know what you think. Until next time…
Peace and blessings,
