While serving time in a prison cell, God spoke to 3D, directing him to open J7’s dictionary and read the first definition on the page. As he did so, he came across the word “Linkboy,” which referred to children hired in the 1600s to hold lamps in the streets at night to guide people home. This became the inspiration for the Linkboyz, a group determined to use their music and personal testimonies to shine the light of Jesus Christ and offer hope to those still in darkness. Through their faith, both 3D and J7 were able to overcome drug addiction and other struggles, and they encourage others to let their lamps burn bright.
