Meet Christian Hip Hop’s most talked about ground-breaking emcee, Josephgodchosen. Originally from Detroit Michigan, Josephgodchosen is currently serving time in prison and has been locked up for over 10 years, making him soon to be the first Christian Rapper to release a full EP from inside the prison walls. With a knack for writing and a way with words, Josephgodchosen is recording music directly from his jail cell. His incredible journey has him buzzing in major headlines within some of the top blog sites in Christian media, including Rapzilla, Trackstarz, and PropperXL who have all deemed him an instant success and the next to blow in the genre.
His latest release, “I’m a Christian, ” debuted atop the Billboard Gospel Top 200 and surfaced on over a dozen Spotify playlists. In just a matter of months, it has garnered spins on over 50 International and Domestic radio stations including SiriusXM.
Uniquely put and fitting with its title, “I’m a Christian” was inspired to be a wake-up call to all Christians to embrace their title and wear it proudly; regardless of the world’s criticism of the true faith.
Josephgodchosen credits his success to God and his family, stating that this couldn’t have happened if God hadn’t made way for it. It doesn’t hurt that he has amassed a huge following on social media that is helping him tell his story, or that he has the work ethic of 10 men.
It’s a credit to both his talent and level of discernment for having assembled an incredible team of believers and supporters who saw what he was doing and were inspired to help.
