I recently sat down to do the “Independent Artists Spotlight” with Christian rapper’s Christopher Sone Franklin, JC Sanctified, and Ambassador OX. The event that brought us all together was “Flavor Fest”. The song that brought the artist together was “Danny Phantom”. Danny Phantom is a fictional cartoon character that has the ability to sense when a ghost is near by. This song is a wonderful play on words to remind us that we’re riding with the Holy Ghost!
I try not to write bias reviews, but I knew my opinion of this one was already decided for me. While I was playing the song my daughter came in the room dancing. At that moment I knew that the innocence of a 6-year old could not tell a lie. Her ears heard what mine heard, a good vibe, a catchy hook, and outstanding wordplay. This song was an absolute banger and she confirmed it. Talk about three dudes who complimented each other, rode the beat, and delivered incredible bars.
This is song will transcend the seasons. Even though it was released on Halloween, this song will be revisited as a summer hit in 2025. Christopher Sone Franklin is on the hook. His raspy voice just gets you hype. I can always feel raspy rap down in my soul. I’m from the South so it reminds me of Scarface. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again when an artist can ride the hook and give a smooth transition to their verse they have won me over. That’s what Christopher did in the first verse.
In the second verse JC Sanctified holds it down. I love that he brought a compliment of the bars that were filled with punchlines. My man said ” You don’t have to be a buster if you’re catching the Ghost”
And who can’t appreciate what Ambassador OX brought to the song. Such a talent with the word play. “I’m a lamb but I eat a got wit some curry on it” Okay! That right there tells me that Jesus is has overcome the world!
The track is littered with scripture references an several calls to action. There’s enough testimony and evidence to you saved if you aren’t already. This song is one that should be added to every playlists worth mentioning. For your personal taste this is a banger if you’re a car enthusiast like me.
