S.O. recently announced he has an upcoming project. S.O. unveiled the album art and release date for his new album ‘Larry Ginni Crescent.’ This album is based around the street in Nigeria that S.O. grew up on and he said that this project has been written in layers, which should be no surprise.
This marks ten years of the anniversary of S.O.’s breakout project ‘So It Begins’, and he’s been layered even since then. From digging more into the emotional side of things on ‘So It Continues,’ to talking more about his relationships and spiritual life on ‘So It Ends,’ and finally touching on the legacy of his father and his start on the path of fatherhood on ‘Augustine’s Legacy,’ S.O. has always opened his life up to the listener and peeled back the layers of his music.
The album art is a picture of young S.O and his sister on top of either their father’s car or the well in their house and the back cover art is a picture of his sister in their old house in Nigeria. Seeing as how this project is paying homage to his childhood home in Nigeria, perhaps we’ll see S.O. more in his afrobeat bag. S.O. is a diverse artist, there’s no telling what the music will sound like, all we know is that it will be excellent.
‘Larry Ginni Crescent’ is now available for pre-order and will be available on August 20, 2021. Are you excited about the new project? Have you pre-ordered the album?
