Deuteronomy 6:6– ” These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.”
The commandments are crucial to knowing and following within your Christian walk. One of the biggest problems is where they are located within the average believer. What does that last sentence mean? Well, I’ll explain. Some of us simply put the commandments in our mind and eventually try to reason around them. Some of us put the commandments in our mouths and use them to let others hear that we know them (and sometimes to tell others that they don’t know them). Some of us put them under our feet and us our grace to “walk above” them. Our above verse tells us to keep them in our heart. Your heart is where you keep the dearest things to you.
