Psalm 30:5–“For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.”
This is one of the most famous verses quoted when Christians are going through hard times. One of the problems with that is they miss the first part of the verse. The previous verse speaks on singing praise to God and giving Him thanks. This shifts us into our weekly verse. It starts off telling us that “his anger lasts only a moment” which lets us know His reaction to sin and unrighteousness. But through His grace, Christ and our obedience, we can find favor from God for a lifetime.
So, these are the key things that we need to remember during our “dark nights” to always find joy:
1.We should always keep sinning praise and giving thanks to God.
2. Separate ourselves from sin and ungodly actions and thoughts.
3. Walk in obedience.
Many times we may go through a weeping or dark time, but this week I Chican Challenge you to go before the Lord and give Him praise and be obedient to what His word and what He tells you through prayer. By doing this, we can find that favor and go through our weeping periods knowing that internal joy is there for us from God. Spread The Soup!
